{"id":2152,"date":"2025-10-20T16:24:58","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T16:24:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fkartheiser.eu\/?p=2152"},"modified":"2025-10-20T16:25:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T16:25:02","slug":"working-to-rebuild-dialogue-my-meeting-with-chairman-slutsky-in-geneva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fkartheiser.eu\/en\/working-to-rebuild-dialogue-my-meeting-with-chairman-slutsky-in-geneva\/","title":{"rendered":"Working to Rebuild Dialogue: My Meeting with Chairman Slutsky in Geneva"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday October 19<sup>th<\/sup>, 2025, Mr. Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and I met in Geneva to explore possibilities to further deepen the dialogue between the State Duma and interested Members of the European Parliament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the initiative of Mr. Slutsky, we&rsquo;ll aim at giving our contact via videoconference a regular frequency, perhaps on a monthly basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I suggested to organize a conference in a venue outside the EU, possibly in T\u00fcrkiye, in order to explore the future European security architecture, ways to avoid an arms race and EU-Russia relations. This suggestion was welcomed by Mr. Slutsky.
