As Members of the European Parliament, we must declare our financial interests — but I believe the same should apply to experts and NGOs who come here to testify. Too often, we don’t know who is behind their funding or what interests they represent.

That’s why I have proposed an amendment to our Rules of Procedure, inspired by practices in other parliaments such as the U.S. Congress, the German Bundestag, and the French Assemblée Nationale.

My goal is simple: to strengthen transparency, credibility, and trust in the European Parliament.
